Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood is located in Southeast Portland in the Willamette Valley watershed. It is a neighborhood of varied styles and uses, and includes industrial, commercial, and residential areas. The Willamette River makes up the eastern boundary of the neighborhood, and along its shores runs the Eastbank Esplanade bike/pedestrian trail. The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is also located along the banks of the Willamette in Hosford-Abernethy, surrounded by industrial and commercial businesses. The central part of the neighborhood is primarily residential, dominated by historic Ladd’s Addition. Hosford-Abernethy is a part of the Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Program Coalition.
