Mt Tabor neighborhood is located in Southeast Portland in the Willamette River watershed. The neighborhood is primarily residential. The most prominent feature of the neighborhood is Mt Tabor Park, a 196 acre city park built on top of an extinct volcanic butte. Mt Tabor reservoir served as one of the City’s major water reserves through the 20th century, but was decommissioned in 2015. In 2004, Mount Tabor Park and the reservoirs were added to the National Register of Historic Places. Mt Tabor is a part of the Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Program Coalition.
